SS Validator Sails in San Francisco

More than 200 BCBSA conference attendees and guests boarded the SS Validator for the beautiful San Francisco Bay dinner cruise.

The weather was beautiful as guests enjoyed views of Candlestick Park, the landmark TransAmerica Pyramid, Embarcadero Center's four "fingers", Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill, Alcatraz and the magnificent lights atop the Golden Gate Bridge.

Five lucky winners chosen by lottery made it to the starting gate for Foresight's Race for an iPod. With a display of manual dexterity, strategic ingenuity and all-around style they pitted remote control cars against one another for a hair-raising (and foot-raising) race along the upper deck. Alas, only one winner can take top honors, so congratulations to Brad Peska, First Consulting Group, and his blue Dodge Viper, who took home the iPod and the envy of all in attendance.

Foresight HIPAA Validator customer Steve Rouff of Anthem BCBS took his turn as Captain of the SS Validator. He proved a talented--if momentary--stand-in for the real Captain, who steered the ship safely back to shore.
