Foresight’s Hafner Elected to WEDI
Board
DUBLIN, OH, November 29 2006
– Foresight Corporation’s Chief Technical Officer Ed
Hafner has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Workgroup
for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI). Hafner also co-chairs the
WEDI Transaction Testing Sub-Workgroup (SWG) and hosts a bi-weekly
call-in program on preparing for the coming transition to the National
Provider Identifier (NPI). He was elected at the organization’s
November conference.
“I am thrilled to have this chance to help
lead the health care industry toward reducing administrative expense,”
Hafner said. “Improving electronic transactions helps our
health care clients process claims-related transactions faster,
more accurately, and at a lower cost.”
At Foresight, Hafner sets the technical direction
for Foresight's suite of business intelligence solutions for healthcare.
He joined the company from Ultryx Corporation, where he oversaw
product strategy, technology, and product development operations
as CTO. Prior to this, he held a variety of positions during his
14-year tenure at Sterling Commerce, eventually assuming the role
of vice president of development and operations, where he managed
all B2B activities including portal development, product development,
business systems development, global operations and technical support.
The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange
